About Us
BUILDERS WHO BELIEVE IN YOUR LEGACY
We are a family-owned general contracting company with the in-house talent to deliver quality, efficiency, and affordability that’s well above industry norms.
THE LEGACY
DIFFERENCE
Unlike many general contracting companies, we don’t rely on subcontractors. Instead, we have developed a diverse in-house team of talented builders—true builders, we like to say. Why? Because when you’re working with a truly committed, accountable, and trust-worthy tradespeople, you can ensure higher quality outcomes, greater efficiency, and truly outstanding service. We do it differently, and it shows.
Our success is founded on supporting, protecting, and restoring legacies
Since 2010, our in-house team of true builders has served property owners and insurance adjusters with uncommon efficiency and integrity. Founded by the prairie-born Dan Wollf, our company found its footing after the economic collapse of 2009. Dan had always been inspired by his carpenter/ farmer father, so he made Legacy (originally called D. Wollf General Contracting) a family affair. He hired brothers and cousins, individuals he could trust to share his values.
In 2013, our company grew considerably to meet demand as a preferred contractor during the Alberta High River flood. Driven by the vision of quickly returning people to their homes, Dan and the team got to work. In the process, they learned much about how they wanted to operate: as a trusted quality contractor that could complete any job in a timely and economical fashion.
Legacy chose to develop a diverse in-house team they could trust.

When we build, restore, or renovate, we are creating better places for people to live and work. Our real work is to restore lives, not buildings. We never forget that.

Steve has worked in the restoration industry for nearly thirty years. He felt like it was a field where he could make a difference for people who have suffered crises. He chose to work with Legacy because he appreciated the fact that it was a medium-sized local firm with hands-on ownership. He loves golfing and spending time on his boat. He aspires to impart knowledge to the team for the betterment, growth and ultimate success of the company—and also just be a good human being.
